Young & Happy Hostel is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter on Rue Mouffetard, known worldwide for its lively student life and its numerous cafes, bars, markets, restaurants, parks, and galleries. Psssst….we have some of the best happy hours and inexpensive bistros within sight of our front door. In other words our neighbourhood is perfect for the budget traveller. Young & Happy is within walking distance to some of Paris’s most famous sights such as Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon and even the Louvre. We’re not saying the Louvre is a 5 min walk but it is perfectly doable. Young & Happy strives to be a fun and social hostel where our guests can meet one another and get the most out of Paris.

In case we are full, we suggest that you try the other HIPHOPHOSTELS located in great areas in Paris. Important Information
Young and Happy is open 24 hours.
The rooms are closed from 11am to 4pm everyday for cleaning.
You can check in any time, but the rooms aren’t available until 4pm. You may store your things in a locked luggage room(free) if you arrive before 4pm.
We provide rent towels for a fee of 1 euro.

Breakfast is included and is from 8 to 9:30.
Check out is at 11am.

Directions
From our metro stop 'Place Monge' (METRO LINE 7), take the street 'rue Ortolan', and then make the first left onto the street 'rue Mouffetard'. Stop at n°80 and you're here!
From the train station 'Gare du Nord', take the line 4 in the direction 'Porte d'Orleans' to ' Gare de l'Est', and then take the LINE 7 in the direction of 'Villejuif / Mairie d'Ivry' to ' Place Monge'.
From the train station 'Gare de l'Est' take METRO LINE 7 in the direction of 'Villejuif / Mairie d'Ivry' to ' Place Monge.'
From Charles de Gaulle Airport, take the RER B to 'Chatelet - Les Halles', and then take the LINE 7 in the direction of 'Villejuif / Mairie d'Ivry' to 'Place Monge' station.
From the Orly airport: Take the Orly bus to the station 'Denfert Rochereau', where you can take the metro LINE 6 in the direction of 'Nation' to the station 'Place d'Italie'. At 'Place d'Italie take the metro LINE 7 in the direction of 'la Courneuve,' and stop at 'Place Monge'.
From the Beauvais airport: Take the bus to 'Porte Maillot' (this is where the bus terminates). From here go to Metro LINE 1 and get on in the direction of 'Chateau de Vincennes' to the station 'Louvre / Palais Royal'. Once at Palais Royal take the metro LINE 7 in the direction of 'Villejuif / Mairie d'Ivry' to ' Place Monge.'

Auberge sordide.
Elle est très bien située, le personnel est plutôt sympa, mais aucune sortie n'est proposée, les espaces communs sont exigus, et surtout le peu de ménage contribue à l'idée fréquemment répandue que les Français sont des porcs! Jamais de papier dans les toilettes, de la poussière partout, pas un casier dans les chambres, encore moins un endroit pour accrocher sa serviette! C'est peut-être un bon rapport qualité/prix pour Paris, mais pas pour une auberge de jeunesse!

Young & happy porte bien son nom, cette auberge est très conviviale et agréable, les chambres sont propres et le cadre est sympa.
Seul hic les sanitaires.... il fallait s ' y attendre.
Prévoir une multiprise.
Très bien située, la rue Mouffetard est très mignone et très dynamique, pas loin la Sorbonne, BVD St Michel... donc Metro et bus a proximité!

The place was rather well except that the home is only for foreigners because the receptionist did not speak French (!)

that good memories a very well located hostel has two steps from the metro place monge a very pleasurable and acueuillante team, a good pti dej!I refrais the choice without hesité!
It is true that the Chamber's small and places storage problem but c a c hostels not a hilton: p be prevoire a multi made for reloaded his apparatus!
Anyways.... young and happy it is not fake!

The location is the major selling point of this hostel. You can easily access the metro and better yet walk to many major sites (ex.) (Pantheon, Notre Dame). I didn't particularly like the state of the bathrooms, but it was OK, and breakfast was very good each morning (wish it were a little bit later than 9: 30 am though!).

Very nice staff, small very good dej.
Otherwise, little space and no storage: not even a small shelf sticking to the wall next to the bed. The only place or one little file its case it is his own suitcase which must remain in the House, on the ground. Room not too clean bathroom and in poor condition.
Point positive, it is in the city centre.

In the heart of the latin quarter, you have access to restaurants, bars on foot. I recommend the coffee Québécois flight and happy as Alexandre restaurant.
Staff welcoming, friendly salon, rooms and clean bedding. As in any youth hostel, they are after a certain time are very clean bathrooms. There is no record for the business.
Good quality/price ratio. A Councillor for the We friends!

It was a little small but clean and comfortable. The common room was a good place to hang out and meet other guests.

following a problem with the hotel, our record was transferred to the hotel Montclair in le18ème. not the same charm at the district level. Small house in the 6th without elevator and facade cleaning which generated noise as early as 8 hour in the morning. Despite all this we adopt State of the House with Deco. and planning a little worn, reduced to a minimum. for one night it can go. in the space beyond, very reduced, without storage... Fortunately showers to the floors were clean and the breakfast. hearty.
