About St Christopher's at The Winston

Welcome to the Winston art hotel/hostel, with Belushi's bar, beer garden, and a large indoor smoking area with pool table!

Our rooms and hallways have been designed by independent, local and international artists or sponsored by famous brands. We have the Green room, Durex room, Stolichnaya room and Billy the Kid room, to name a few. You can choose private rooms or dorm accommodation, all with an ensuite bathroom! Included are breakfast, linen, towels and taxes. Lockers under every bed are free to use if you bring your own padlock and we have automated paid lockers (for use before check-in or after check-out).

Party or relax in our on-site Belushi's bar and restaurant where you'll find comfy couches, good music, sports on TV, great food and drink promotions all year round. We have 2-for-1 promos on Beck's, Absolut Vodka, Jameson Whiskey and Havana Club Rum with mixer. Also look out for €1.50 Jägermeisters and €1 Apple Sourz shots. On our bar menu you'll find hearty and healthy food at great prices, including the best burgers around, tasty salads, towering nachos, killer spicy wings, and fresh daily specials. All hotel/hostel guests get a 25% discount on the entire food menu.

We’re located only a five-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and right in the heart of Amsterdam, between Dam Square and the Red Light District. There are canal tours galore, coffee shops left, right and centre and our beer garden literally overlooks the 'working ladies'. No need to worry at all; the area is safe and everything is at walking distance. Sandeman’s Free Walking Tour of Amsterdam leaves from our check-in desk at 11am every morning.

Next door, you can party at the Winston Kingdom nightclub. Each month the line-up is steaming hot, with the best live music and DJs, all night, every night!

Directions

St Christopher's @ The Winston is on Warmoesstraat 129, between the Dam square, the Red Light District and the central train station (can you beat that???)

From Dam Square:

Warmoesstraat starts on the north-east corner of the square. We are at number 129.

From Central Train Station:

From the big square outside the station, head towards the Victoria Hotel and follow the Damrak avenue, for about 200 meters. Turn left into Oudebrugsteeg (at the end of the cruise boats harbour). The second street you come to is the Warmoesstraat (coffeshop Baba on the corner.) . Turn right into Warmoesstraat, and we are about 150 meters away, at number 129.

This is a five-to-ten-minute walk, depending on the weight of your backpack, but without any coffee shop or bar pit stops!

From Schipol Airport:

Take a train shuttle to Amsterdam central station ('Centraal Station'). Trains leave every 10 minutes between 6am and 1am, and cost less than €4 one-way. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Follow then the above instructions from the station.

Parking Facilities:

There is public parking on Damrak, 50 metres from the Winston. Cost is around €4 per hour. It's much cheaper is to leave your car outside the city centre. Check with the reception after booking for how to drive there.

Very centric... too centric! Chamber of eight non-decorated on street prostitutes on one side and the bar of the other. For very young traveller for mad experience to others, refrain (especially girls only!).

To be centric, this hotel is centric but the tourist centre (in the middle of the red light district and the coffee shops) and not where are local. On the other hand very very noisy and dormitories are very simple, a bit congested and without any decoration. It is better to take a room in 2-4 people!

Excellent hostel. Very cool decor and great staff. Breakfast wasn't bad either. Really the only complaint I have is the fact that they have no kitchen faciility or even a microwave for people like me who enjoy cooking their own purchased food once in a while while they are out and about exploring other countries. Will definately go again, but bring extra $$ for eating out.

a superb Hostel of very young and friendly, youth in the centre of the red light district therefore very well positioned for the cofee shop.

in the hostel there is a bar/restaurant a box night, a smoker with billiard area. and the hearty déjeuné small morning included in the tariff!

the rooms are very well decorated and especially very own possibility to sleep in a "IBIS" for not expensive or a little more expensive 4 for private house but with more privacy (private bath room).

In short you understand it at the rate you will not find better!

to recommend urgently!

Esta es mejor ubicación para el distrito of luz roja! Tenga cuidado con las campanas the mañana, no. cerca, pero en todas partes. Muy divertido. The comida y bebidas a poco caro pero al menos tiene bar y una terraza bonita! Gran election!
