About St Christopher's Inn - London Bridge

Prefer a more traditional approach to a city, then St. Christopher’s Inn is the place to be. Once an original coaching inn, this place has been around since the 1500’s. You can’t mistake the haunting character that time has draped over the walls of the hostel. And in keeping with tradition, your downstairs pub offers up pints of ale and fish n’ chips. Anyone can stay somewhere new and flashy; the cultured ones will opt for an authentic bit of history.

The best of all worlds is the beauty of Southwark’s trio of St. Christopher’s hostel locations. Quiet Oasis, the historic Inn and party central Village; has everything you could ever possibly need. Living in London’ centre has you walking to the River Thames, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the London Dungeon, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern Gallery and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. The kind of attractions that don’t need introduction or explanation and the reasons that thousands of tourists come to London every year are all part of your new neighbourhood. There is also the Borough Market, a traditional fruit and vegetable market that also carries specialty food, seafood and organic/fair trade foods. The weekend crowds are more than enough reason to include this on your must sees of England’s capital. Grab a latte at one of the cosy market side cafes and watch the world go by.

No matter which hostel you’re checking into, reception is at the Village. This is the hub site of the street, with chill-out room with Cinema, internet and comfy couches – available to all staying at Southwark hostels.

“…an excellent hostel chain that has been making a name for itself over the past few years for its basic but cheap and clean accommodation, friendly service, and all around good times.”

Lonely Planet London 2002

“With the management organising a different entertainment every night (karaoke, sight seeing walks, barbecues, and movies) and two sister establishments up the road (one nigh club, one internet cafe) all offering discounts on food and drink, hostellers have a ready-made social life within 100 yards…Partying as hard as ever'.

28 Jun 2003 London’s Daily Telegraph

“The Staff here seem to go the extra mile…”

A night spent: on the whole a pleasant stay, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms. The home and decoration of the common very sympathetic. The breakfast is rich and user-friendly. Only flat, the rooms above the pub are not isolated and music is heard very strong (even if c is rather funny to be in the festive atmosphere). And we also regret not having been able to share the same room although we had booked two weeks previously.

I have booked my stay for Toussaint for 3 persons in July, I did not appreciate that we are 2 in a room and 1 in another.

the number of toilets and bathrooms is insufficient and hygiene leaves to be desired.

the staff is nice and helpful, except household women who landed in Aurora without warning in the room, turn on the light, while everyone sleeps again.

the House was just above the pub, it was noisy ++ until late into the night.

Sunday 23/10, access to the infernal, no place where to install, buffet breakfast made of assault...It was the final of the rugby World Cup! in + the France lost!

SUPER! (= P 3 super days in this hostel with people = super cool all at the hostel to the bar) to repeat only flat: household employees that fit into the House of good morning without preventing = /.
