About Pensione Ottaviano Hostel

The Pensione Ottaviano Hostel is the longest running hostel in Rome. Established in 1956, we have seen generations of backpackers. Since the hostel opened it has been recommended in the main guide books of the world and we suppose there is a reason for that!

The hostel is located in a pleasant, quiet area, only a short walk from St. Peter's Square. From our windows there is a view of the Dome. It is a clean, budget wise place to crash close to the Vatican and several other main sights with several transport options available.

The hostel is easily accessed from Termini Central Station, just a few stops on the Metro (Line A) and from the airport.

- Our hostel will only accept guests arriving and checking in before 22.30pm.

We would like to remind you that your arrival must be within 3 hours of the time which you indicated when booking.

Also, We remind to You that Your arrival at the hostel must anyway be before 22H30 p.m.

- Reservations with an indicated arrival time after 22.30 pm will be immediately canceled.

- Upon arrival at the hostel, you must pay the full balance due IN CASH immediately.

- Changes or alterations to your reservation cannot be made at your check-in.

Cancellation/alteration policy:

- We do not support change or alteration of the original booking.To alter or change your reservation, you must cancel the original reservation and rebook once again. We do not accept reservation changes or alterations by e-mail or by phone.

- Cancellations must be made ONLY BY E-MAIL at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to your arrival date. If adequate notice is not received, we will unfortunately have to debit your card. The amount charged will be your first night's accommodation.

- Phone cancellations are not accepted.

- We are unable to send mail or fax letters for visa documents applications.

- We do not accept customers under 13 y.o. and over 40 y.o.for dormitory accommodations. All ages are accepted for private rooms.

- Check-in service for HostelWorld customers: 7:00am - 22:30pm.

- We don't refund the deposit and the booking fee paid to Hostelworld.com for any reason.

Important Information

BOOKING CONDITIONS:

CITY TAX (TASSA DI SOGGIORNO)

For all guest bookings with the period of stay from 1st January 2011 onwards, a city tax of 2.00- Euro per person per day must be paid. It will be added to the final amount of your reservation and should be paid in cash in the hostel.

• Check-in service for HostelWorld customers: 7:00am - 22.30.

• Reservations with an indicated arrival time after 22.30 pm will be immediately canceled.

• You must arrive and check-in no later than three (3) hours from your indicated arrival time AND before the indicated 22.30 pm deadline or else your reservation is automatically cancelled as a 'no-show' and your card will be debited for the first night's stay.

• We do not support change or alteration of the original booking.To alter or change your reservation, you must cancel the original reservation and rebook once again. We do not accept reservation changes or alterations by e-mail or by phone. We do not refund the difference if you notify us upon or after check-in that you wish to shorten your stay.

• Cancellations must be made ONLY BY E-MAIL at least 24hours (1 day) prior to your arrival date. If adequate notice is not received, we will unfortunately have to debit your card. The amount charged will be your first night's accommodation

YOU CAN REACH US BY:

From Central Train Station (Termini):

Take metro line A (direction Battistini) get off at the Ottaviano station(10-15 mins) and walk down Via Ottaviano to No. 6.

From Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino):

Take the train direct to Termini (train station) and then follow the previous instructions.

From Tiburtina Train Station:

Take metro line B (direction Laurentina). Get off at the Termini Station and then follow the previous instructions.

From Ciampino Airport:

Take the Blue Cotral Bus that runs every half hour to Anagnina. From Anagnina take the metro line A and ride untill the stop Ottaviano and walk down Via Ottaviano to No. 6.
